Scrapbooking Feedback: i love to scrapbook too! i always love to use bold colors and a variety of materials so that each page comes out creative and different. i also love to use the letter stickers for words instead of just writing or typing them. you can use a variety of the letter sticker colors to get a fun look!

Scrapbooking Feedback: Scrapbooking is such a fun hobby! I’ve gotten so many great tips since I started that it’s hard to choose a favorite. I think the overall most helpful tip I got was to invest in a Xyron sticker making machine. I love using ribbons & fibers on my pages as well as various types of paper that don’t glue down easily, so the Xyron has been fantastic for getting those kinds of things to adhere nicely.

Scrapbooking Feedback: My absolute favorite tip is not to worry about getting “caught up” or having to scrapbook every single picture/event. Scrapbook for the fun of it, and do everything in the order you want. If it feels like a job, then you’re doing it wrong, it’s supposed to be fun! Relax, take it easy, if you feel like doing your dog having puppies yesterday before your wedding 4 years ago, then so be it!

Also there is never any shame about scraplifting ideas from other layouts.

Scrapbooking Feedback: Trim your edges of each page as you do them. I learned the hard way.

Scrapbooking Feedback: When I am going to a crop or scrapbooking at a friend’s house I like to take a little time before I go to get together a few groupings of pictures I’m going to work on with coordinating paper and embellishments and even a sketch or two of what the page(s) may look like. It’s a jumping off point and I don’t have to take as much stuff with me. My pages usually end up looking different from my initial sketch, but I don’t spend nearly as much time trying to get started.

And I agree about the “catching up” part…it’s not about getting it all done as fast as you can. It’s about enjoying the process and remembering. Relax.

Scrapbooking Feedback: I luv scrapbooking too! I’d say my favorite tip would be using photo stickers instead of glue. Glue always ruins the photos. I had to learn the hard way…now i’ve also got photo safe glue! I am a very creative person…anything that has to do with crafts i love! Scrapbooking rocks and that person who said burn your scrapbooks and get a life doesn’t know what their talking about. Scrapbooking is a productive and wholesome thing to do. It’s also a way to preserve your memories. Some people on here answer with the stupidest things simply because they want points…thats dumb! Anywho i love scrapbooking!

Scrapbooking Feedback: Invest in a good paper cutter, it really helps and remember to keep those “scraps”. I like to collect those sample paint and wallpaper swatches that the home improvement stores give away so don’t be afraid to at least take three of each style. They are free and grouping them together makes intersting pages. They can also be cut up and used as picture corners.

Scrapbooking Feedback: Two organization tips I love (I answered someone else’s question with this):

I keep my stickers in a binder filled with two-sided sticky pages with a plastic covering each side (they used to be photo albums, before the sturdier ones we have now were invented; now you can buy them almost anywhere). This is perfect for me, as I simply lift the plastic, take out what I need, and put the remains back in. Also, I can easily rearrange pages and stickers to keep the album organized by subject (food, letters, numbers, stars/flowers, smileys, etc.), and the binder hardly takes up any room.

Another idea is to have one 12×12 scrapbook filled only with decorative scrapbook papers (the removed white ones can be used to replace a mess-up). This way they can be viewed and removed easily, and this too does not take up a lot of space.

Scrapbooking Feedback: Remember that the point of scrapbooking is to preserve your memories. It doesn’t matter what the scrappers in the magazines do. I only use stickers, cardstock, paper, stamps, and pens since I can’t afford all the fancy stuff with my budget(I don’t get allowance!)

Scrapbooking Feedback: I Love Scrapbooking!!! Okay i would say the most important thing to me is to have a theme and have a layout planned out before you put your pictures down.

Scrapbooking Feedback: I also like card making as well as scrapbooking. I like to use stamped/embossed lettering, verses, pictures etc to decorate the page. I also like to use unique decoragive yarns to make like a banner to hang the words from.
One of my other favorites is printing onto velum in all different lettering and colours. You can scan your Marrieage Certificate, or some other kind of certificate onto clear velum printed faintly and put that over a main picture on teh mirrored page.

Scrapbooking Feedback: Color is my thing. I don’t like to put too much on a page - one can overdo it with all the awesome stuff out there. I am careful to match colors in the pictures to papers and things I use, but I try to match one of the less dominant colors. It makes things pop.

I love the rub on stuff that’s out there now, much better than the first rub on products.

i also collect stickers with sayings and quotes to use for areas that need a little something but I don’t want to journal. Sometimes just a few words say it all.

I guess everyone has their own scrapbooking philosophy. Some love to journal, some will decorate a whole page with just one picture. Some are techniqe junkies!

That’s the great thing about scrapbooking, it’s all your own style.

Color and Balance. It took me all those words to just say that.
