Can you cut felt into shapes by using scissors?

Can you answer Emm’s’s question about Scrapbooking?:
Since felt seems to be the latest trend in the world of scrapbooking, I was wondering if you can cut felt sheets into shapes, for example, flowers, by just using a good pair of scissors rather than a die cutting machine?

Scrapbooking Feedback: Yeah you can if they are good scissors and they are sharp. Most pairs should work.

Scrapbooking Feedback: a good pair of scissors to use are the sewing kind. I have lots of those and they are great! You can cut anytype of material with them. I think they might also be called “sewing shears”
Scrapbooking Feedback: Yes, either with scissors or with shears. In terms of definition, scissors have relatively straight handles and the handles on shears are bent to ease cutting something *over* a flat surface.
In either case, the blades should be sharp and well-matched.
Scrapbooking Feedback: Yes, use sharp ones, buy it special for cloth. One more thing, When using a pattern, make it out of sand paper so that the cloth sticks to the pattern. You will see how well it does. My mom showed me that when she did quilts.
