Where to get vinyl material (used for die-cuts)?

Can you answer Someone’s question about Scrapbooking?:
I’m looking for a place to buy vinyl, as in the sticker material used for durable stickers, so that I can create die-cuts for personal use. I do not want to purchase online because I would like it asap, so I’m looking for a place to buy personally.

Would Michaels or Joann Fabrics sell it? Would kinko’s make them for me if were to bring them my designs?
Scrapbooking Feedback: Contact a local sign making store. They may have scraps that would normally be thrown out that they’ll give you. Or at least sell you some leftovers cheap.
