I bought a scrapbooking kit that comes with cardboard “die cuts”. I was told these are for having a machine?

Can you answer My BFF is a Pitador!’s question about Scrapbooking?:

I wasa told these are for putting into a machine that will cut the shape onto paper for use in scrap booking. How can I know which machine will use these particular die cuts? In the store it seems each machine has it’s own brand of die cuts to use per machine. I haven’t purchased a machine yet but I would like to try to find one that the die cuts can be from any brand. Is this possible? I am brand new to scrap booking and I would love and appreciate any help.

Scrapbooking Feedback: If you bought a kit, I am going to assume it came with paper, stickers and embellishments… I am betting the “die cuts” are pre-cut shapes on thicker paper or card stock. I doubt they would give you “dies” that you would have to purchase a machine for.

If these are pre-cut shapes, they are ready for you to stick to your pages (you can also add your own detail to these with pens and paper to make them your own).

If I am wrong, edit your question and explain further what die cuts you have and I’ll try and help further. :) (how to use) (samples of die cuts)

Scrapbooking Feedback: I agree with Boo. What they gave you is what a die cut machine cuts of out cardstock or chip board. These are not die cuts you put into a machine.

A Sizzix Big Shot or Big Kick will cut die cuts from Sizzix, Cuttlebug, Quickutz and Spellbinders
